By using green and blue, you will make a room feel cool and calm while red, yellow and orange will make a room feel warm and exciting. If you’re dissatisfied with the space in your home, you could do a little modification here and there without taking your room apart and rebuilding it. A cheap method to do this is using color. You could expand space by painting your room with pale colors. You could use glossy paint to make your room appear wider. Also, strong patterns create a direction so you could use these to lengthen your room. If you want to narrow down a room you could use strong dark colors. Add a stripe of contrasting color to make it appear smaller. Use non-shiny paint as well.

Solar Sky-Lights

They use no power and are mere tubes of highly reflective metal tubes that allows the sun’s rays to get into a home without any electrical connections. Topped by a clear dome cover to keep the weather out and even with a double glazed glass pane to keep air in and the heat out of the home, they are considered to be the best daylight lighting solutions to most homes.
Using technology to turn rolls of steel sheets and coating them with a mirror finish, light is collected by the dome cover and bounces off the mirror-like surface down into the home giving free and non-polluting lighting when the sun is out. A diffuser can be installed to mimic powered lights, minus the glare of clear skies.

Finding a bed

One the most important things in you home is your bed. You spend so much time in bed compared to let’s say your couch (unless, of course, you sleep on it). One of the things to consider primarily is the space you have in your home. Big-sized beds like King or Queen size beds may not fit in the space you have. Also, who will be sleeping on it? Twin and Extra beds are best for kids and teens. Doubles may be a bit cramped for couples but A Queen or Kind sized bed will give you extra room. Another consideration is budget. Beds tend to be long-time investments so make sure you buy a bed whose style you’ll never get tired of no matter how many times you change the design of your bedroom.

The Southeast deals with wealth and the Southwest deals with relationships. By placing the right objects at the right place, the area will be activated and it will bring effects that depend on whether or not the objects are compatible with the area. There are a lot of information about these; just Google “Feng Shui” and you will learn a lot of helpful tips to make use of this ancient art of interior decoration.
