Feng Shui For Your Bedroom

fengshuibedroom.jpg

Your bedroom is the place where you spend most of your time at home so make sure that it is a place that is conducive to rest. According to feng shui experts, you should place your bed in a position where you will have an unobstructed view of the room’s door while you’re in bed. However, do not align your bed directly with the door. Placing your headboard against the same wall as the door can cause health issues like insomnia and headaches. If this can’t be avoided, one solution is to place a mirror on the opposite wall so it reflects the door. Finally, unpleasant memories can be attached to certain objects in your room, and these objects can make your energy levels drop. Remove them and place positive, impersonal objects with bright colors in their place.

This is the position where one has the best unobstructed view of the main entrance while lying in bed. However, do not align your bed directly with the door.

Having the right color for your kitchen would definitely be an added inspiration to cooking fabulous meals. Who wouldn’t enjoy cooking in a wonderful looking kitchen.

Think carefully on what color you would want your kitchen to look like. You would only want to do it once or probably not in the next couple of years.

Different colors, have different meanings as taken from www.about.com
• Red: Stimulating/Increases Appetite
• Orange: Stimulating/ Increases Appetite
• Yellow: Stimulating/ Increases Appetite
• Green: Relaxing/Balance
• Blue: Relaxing/Decreases Appetite
• Indigo: Relaxing/Decreases Appetite
• Violet: Balance/Relaxing/Decreases Appetite

You can either opt to follow the above reference as a guide to choosing the color for your kitchen or you can color your kitchen the way you have always wanted. Do net let other people affect your decision in choosing the paint for your kitchen. It is your kitchen anyway.

Integrating the old with the new

builtin2.jpgbuiltin3.jpgbuiltin1.jpgInterior designing can be used both for aesthetics and practical purposes as with the case of flush appliances that are installed as if they were not there. Up front, the kitchen wall might seem to have row upon rows of shelves but in fact they have the dishwasher, fridge, range, wine chillers and microwave hidden underneath the beautiful wood panels that were designed specifically for the job. These forms of kitchens are designed around these appliances so they can be integrated into the design of the space. A seemingly bland wall can hide a flat screen TV allowing the room to look uncluttered and crisp (though many love to watch them, many dislike the looks of modern television sets which usually come only in black or silver.)

Interior Designing – The Basics

interior1.jpg
Interior design is the art and science of maximizing the use of a space both aesthetically and functionally. There are many branches of the said field with the so-called interior designing itself as the main focus of this site. Do you know that there are many products and services that are now available on the market today that used to be limited to people in the field a few years back. To see this, visit the local home depot or browse through their online stores to see the variety of tools, equipment and furnishings that can be purchased to make use of a space more effectively. With that knowledge in mind one can do about a re-design of a space at a fraction of the cost it used to take. Top save time, make use of readily available supplies and do more research of local suppliers for special items.
